Patients who are heavily influenced by their emotions such as anxiety or fear, for example are deemed not having the capacity to make decisions. The ones who are asleep clearly can’t make decisions on independently, and other people must provide consent for treatment instead.

There are certain elements that are generally included in informed consent forms:
The patient’s medical condition/diagnosis
The recommended treatment is suggested by the medical professional in charge
The risks and advantages associated with this procedure
Alternative treatments are readily offered, as are their potential risks and benefits
The benefits and risks associated of refusing treatment at all
These details must not only be documented in a written document But they also need to be discussed with the patient. In this way, he or can be fully aware of the details of the situation and receive direct responses to any questions that may have arisen.
